Welcome to A Square Planet

Hello! Welcome to “A Square Planet”! I started this blog all the way back in 2017, as a way of sharing all the stories from my travels with my family. Since, my family consisted of my dad, my mum and my brother… my friend suggested the name “A Square Planet” to represent each person as a corner of a square and each of us being linked to one another equally. But since then, our family has grown! 

Recently, (last year), I got married!

And we have now added another member to the “A Square Planet” - my husband. But the name of this page… I love it too much for me to change it. 

So, even though our family looks a little different from when I started it - in the best way! - Our travels are still going strong! In fact, this year we would have gone to at least 7 countries in total! 

You can probably tell, we are big on travelling around here! And it’s always been that way! When my brother and I were tiny, my parents would take us out on a trip pretty much every weekend! One of my earliest memories of travelling was when my dad had just bought a camcorder, which in the eyes of a 6-year old me, was the fanciest thing we could own; and he would capture all our travel excursions on that camera! An OG vlogger - without his YouTube account! You know what, I share that same interest. So whilst I may not walk around with a camcorder, I am always taking pictures and videos… and sharing them here on my instagram page! 

Even my husband travelled a fair bit, his family have always been into cruises so they have covered quite a few places too! So, it’s a little weird for us not to be travelling! 

We do all work full time - so sometimes it might get a little quiet around here! But, I’ll always come back and tell you about the trips! Hopefully, it will give you some ideas on where to go, what to do, what NOT to do and share your experiences with us too! So that we can learn and grow from one another!
